The Railway Form 6 is a statement of application which notifies that the employee has given their family member names for the Family Pension Scheme.
Indian Railways is always seen to support their employees irrespective of cadre they are working, and there are numerous schemes that are here to support the employee and their family in need, and the scheme of Family Pension is once such an option, that an employee can avail to have their Pension distributed in the names of their Family.
The contribution of Railway Pension will be calculated from salary and the names mentioned in FORM 6 of Family Pension will receive the benefits of Pension after their eligible period has been started.
Permanent employee or regular servant of Indian Railways must submit this declaration in the format of Form 6 indicating all the members of the family with the relationship, date of Birth, and physically challenged status.
The duly signed application of the employee must submit to the concerned head of office or Accounts Officer along with a witness of another Railway employee, and after clear verification by the authority, the submitted application must be records in the service book of the employee.
