Government of Assam has recently constituted the Assam Pay Scale & Productivity Pay Commission. This commission entitled to examine and recommend changes that made for the variable pay scale structure, conditions of services, and emoluments for the different classes of state government employees.
As well under Assam Pay Scale the existing amenities and facilities relating to death cum retirement benefits for every employee considered. The Assam Pay commission does recommend for the reorganization of existing services with view to rationalizing them effectively along with workload.
The Assam Pay Scales does include the pay bands and grade pay which will be different for every employee. There are 5 distinct pay Bands and 24 grades which considered to the Assam Pay Scales.
The minimum basic pay which issued to government employees is 16,000/- INR and the maximum basic salary set to be 1, 30,000/- INR. Every employee who has got their revised pay scale by the Assam government will get the old pending arrears based on the new pay scales.
