Dearness Allowance is a part of basic salary structure of an employee and for the state government employees, the Dearness Allowance is all decided in the state cabinet meeting. The union government has recently announced the increase in Dearness Allowance for the government employees as per new AICPIN, and that has led the Maharashtra government to take a decision to implement the same Dearness Allowance rates.
The current rate of Dearness Allowance will be at 31% which has been increased from 28 percent. Increase in Dearness Allowance has brought relief to the government employees, who have been waiting for an increment since the pandemic situation.

The cabinet meeting has agreed to provide the Dearness Allowance to each permanent government employee from the state of its schedule, this increment in Dearness Allowance Monthly has added over 200+ crores in the budget of the state every time when increased. Employees will be benefited with an increase in Dearness Allowance which will be calculated as per their basic salary.
