The Central Public Sector employees (CPSE) have got a new PRC which is the 3rd PRC from 01.01.2017 for revision of pay scales of all the cadre employees in each organization.

As per the order issued by the approval of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), and as per the new Pay Scale revision, the PSU Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) becomes ZERO and is acknowledged at certain months beginning of January, April, July, and October.

The 3rd PRC change is effective for all the Industrial workers who are under the Industry brands as mentioned below as well which can be found over the PRC Wage Relief. One of the major aspects or elements that helps in increase or decrease in the Monthly Net Income on employee Pay Scale of 3rd PRC based on an average value of AICPIN numbers for each quarter released by labor bureau.

The above are the Current IDA rate for PSU employee pay scales and expecting IDA from Oct 2023 as per new calculation, and these are applicable for all officers and non-executive industrial workers working in Government Public Sector Undertaking company, and the new rates on basic pay of 3rd PRC will be paid after the release of AICPIN numbers of that quarter by Labour Bureau.

IDA Calculation Formula for 2017 Pay Scale employees of CPSE

  1. Average AICPIN (2001-100) for the Quarter (Mar2023 – 133.3, April 2023 – 134.2 & May 2023 – 134.7, Calculate the Average of this quarter)
  2. Link Point = 277.33 ( As on 01.01.2017)
  3. An increase over link point = XX( Average of quarterly AICPIN minus Link Point
  4. Current IDA Rate from 1st July 2023 = XX% [(Point3-Point2)*100]

  1. Sir,We BSNL pensioners hope The DOT, The BSNL will Permit. Pension Revision after Pay revision. As per the Present situation. Time is not important But giving Pension Revision is important. We say Salute to DOT, BSNL for permitting Pension Revision. Thanks.

  3. 3rd prc BSNL ke employees ko milega ya nahin , iske bare men union kya kar rahee hain, koi bhai kuchh pata karke batayen.

  4. Why not government give BSNL 3rd PRC why not the union say government to provide 3prc to employees, it’s very same for the government my father in BSNL will die in working hours, BSNL government does not get me job on behalf job for me the compassionate job for me.

  5. What will be the effect on Ida due to change of base year 2016 in all India consumer price index.

  6. Rule-37A of CCS(Pension)rules 1972 clearly says even BSNL is closed pension to BSNL retirees absorbed from DOT is assured and DOT has also confirmed in writing. Pension guaranteed does not mean pension existing it has meaning of periodical revision as in the case of C G Pensioners and we are also C G Pensioners covered by CCS(Pension) rules, Revision of pay of BSNL employees is nothing to do with revision of pay of BSNL employees, Pension to BSNL retirees is paid from Consolidated Fund of India as to C G Pensioners. DOT is mis-interpreting/mis-leading with the stand even he is aware that revision cannot be denied but still why he is distancing himself from revision stand is matter of regret.

  7. I also demand revision of absorbed BSNL retired person as per 3rd PRC with 15% fitment and delink with working employee.

Pay of BSNL employees is not revised as per 3rd PRC recommendation & BSNL weak financial status, Pension revision is linked to pay revision liking to Nakara judgment, Basically BSNL pensioners, who have served DOT over 25 to 35 years, are DOT personnel on service to BSNL based on which BSNL (a PSU)retirees are being paid pension bringing them under (CCS(Pension) Rules-1972. Pension is thus revisable as per 3rd PRC fitment or as per 7th CPC fitment in consideration to their C G pension status. Pension revision cannot be denied. Denial is an injustice to justice which law cannot permit.

  9. Please add Food Corporation of India and Central Warehousing Corporation to the above list. Wage revision done and dusted.

We pensioners of BSNL are the pensioners of central government and it is the liability of centre to treat all equally and on the same pattern, Why second treatment towards BSNL retirees, Originally we are employees of DOT, Became corporation on 1-10-2000 and DA is given due to hike in prices. Is not for we pensioners. Kindly explain. Vivad why and what for, Pay revision also delayed why MOS communication got hostile on 3rd PRC even for pensioners which is injustice, The government is having lack of vision or inexperienced because of religious classification.
