Dearness Allowance which is a part of the basic salary structure is fully controlled by the Union government and State government for their respective employees and pensioners.
Employees and Pensioners are eagerly waiting to get the increment in salary with present DA rate in J&K which has seen a high rise after the announcement of Dearness Allowance by the Central Government.

The DA in Jammu & Kashmir applicable for state employees and pensioners as per the basic salary will be with the Government of the State but not with the Central Government even if their values seem to be similar.
The increase of 4 percent in Dearness Allowance will be in effect from January 2023 which makes a large amount for employees. The employees and pensioners are going to get a good amount with DA rates in J&K from January 2023 salary.
