As per GS/30/2019/PHD/102019/1111/GH:- In Pursuance of the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, (XXVI of 1881), read with the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry Of Home Affairs No.39/1/68-Judl.III dated the 8th may, 1968, the Government of Gujarat in consultation with Reserve Bank Of India, Ahmadabad is pleased to declare the following days to public holidays for banks in Gujarat during the year 2020.

The Government of Gujarat is also prepared to declare Wednesday, the 1st april, 2020 /12 chaitra, 1942 to be Public Holiday for Banks, Pay & Accounts Office, Treasury / Sub-Treasury Offices only in the State of Gujarat to enable them to close yearly accounts.
