Key Modifications of Gratuity Limit Enhancement
The maximum limit of Death Cum Retirement Gratuity has been increased from 20 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs for BSNL / MTNL absorbees who opted for pension under combined service. This enhancement is effective from January 1, 2024.

Pension Calculation
- The formula for calculating pension/family pension remains unchanged.
- BSNL/MTNL absorbees will continue to receive pension based on the existing formula and existing Gratuity calculation formula will continue.
Implementation Details
- The rates for payment of DCRG will be revised according to paragraph 3 of DoP&PW
- No modifications have been made to the commutation values
- The order applies to pensioners governed under Rule 37 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 2021
