How to Raise Grievance at Income Tax ePortal

Follow the below instructions on the simple steps that will help you learn how to raise a grievance at Income Tax ePortal.

  1. Go to the Income Tax ePortal website from eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login
  2. Login to your account with your user id and password
  3. Click on the “Grievances” tab.
  4. Click on “Submit Grievance”.
  5. Enter your PAN number and assessment year.
  6. Select the type of grievance you want to raise.
  7. Provide other details
  8. Enter a brief description of your grievance.
  9. Attach any supporting documents
  10. Click on Submit Grievance

How to Check Income Tax ePortal Grievance Status

If you have submitted your grievance, then follow the below steps to learn to check Grievance status from online.

  1. Simply open the Income Tax ePortal from https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/fo-greivance/submit
  2. Click on the “Grievances” tab.
  3. Click on View Grievance Status
  4. Enter your grievance number and select the assessment year.
  5. Click on Submit.

Can I check the Income Tax ePortal Grievance status without PAN/TAN?

No, you cannot check any Grievance without PAN/TAN because Grievance submitted is linked to your PAN and TAN.

Yes, you may send your Income Tax grievance to email address webmanager@incometax.gov.in as per requirement.
