Minimum Wages for Students

  • Students under the age of 18 who work no more than 28 hours per week while classes are in session
  • who work over the summer or during school breaks, are subject to this rate.

When the Minimum Wage Change

  • Employers, potential employers, and other recruiters will not be permitted to knowingly engage or use the services of any recruiter who does not have a license.

Note: On July 1, 2023, changes to the ESA that provide a mechanism for temporary help providers and recruiters to apply for licenses went into effect.
