FAEA Scholarship Eligibility

Those awaiting the declaration of their Class 12 results are encouraged to apply once the results are announced. Students falling under the following categories are considered eligible:
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- Below Poverty Line (BPL)

Selection Procedure (FAEA Scholarship)
Students who make it to the shortlist will receive invitations for interviews conducted in major cities across India. The ultimate selection will be made by a national panel, taking into account the interview outcomes, and the results will be officially announced thereafter.
It’s important to note that the provision of scholarship support is contingent upon the candidate’s acceptance or admission to the respective host university, institution, or college.

Guidelines for the FAEA Scholarship
- Amount awarded: The award amount will be determined by the FAEA to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines. The final decision rests with the FAEA, and it may cover the full cost of education for up to 5 years.
- Deferment: Deferments (postponements) are granted only for 1 year. Deferment requests also need to be submitted. It needs to be submitted to the FAEA office with all the documentation or evidence. Deferments are considered in case of personal emergencies, such as a serious illness within the scholar’s immediate family or adverse circumstances in their home state.
- Duration: Scholarships can be extended for a maximum of 5 years, subject to annual renewal based on the scholar’s academic progress and the availability of funds from FAEA. A student must be persuing a formal degree program (full–time).
- Location of Study: This scholarship initiative provides scholars with the flexibility to pursue their education at any university, institution, or college in India that aligns with their educational objectives.
- Disbursement of funds: Funds will be directly disbursed to scholars, excluding tuition, hostel, and related fees, which will be paid directly to the educational institution. Applicants get excellent on-campus housing facilities. Mess is also available.
- Assistance for traveling: Candidates appearing for interviews will receive second-class travel support for one round trip to the destination and return to their home city or village. For female candidates, reimbursement will be provided for one accompanying person.
